Guess so, but it's weird that it won't work in firefox, but it does in explorer. Explorer is heavier on your pc than firefox, so... yeah. <_<

I don't know, maybe it's because IE doesn't take up 76,000K of memory according to ctrl+alt+del function.

Probably. The only one I don't use, though, is Down Them All. And maybe Stylish, I'll have to check that one.

So I got rid of ones I don't use. And it's sitting at 71,000K memory usage. :/

Reduced to 46,000k after getting rid of NoScript. Holy shit.

Super Dante - Install the RuneScape game app from the official site. It's a small file. It doesn't even require Java. There's less lag too. ^^ When you download the file, don't save it. Instead, open it. I saved it & couldn't figure out how to install it. lol. So, I deleted it & tried opening it from the site & it worked. ^^ PM me your addy & we can hang out in the game. ^^

Yes, World 1 is still full of people all the time.

If World 2 still exists, I would assume the same for that.

And thanks for telling me about that, Vergilina.

5"4. :D

Weird? Barely. Only simplified. <_<

"So how tall are you"

"ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY-TWO CENTIMETERS"

Compared to...

"five-four"

That's 11 syllables all the way down to 2. If you want to say all of it, then it would be 5 syllables, still less than half of saying it your way. >_>

I hate it when people say that. I don't play RS, but I hang around a lot in SwiftIRC channels so you learn a thing or two. An applet coming with Java runtime != doesn't require Java.

The less lag is just because of your internet tools hogging up memory; Java uses a load of CPU usage anyway. This is why I use Google Chrome.

SO DOES RUNESCAPE REQUIRE A FAST INTERNET CONNECTION OR DOES IT JUST USE THE COMPUTER'S TECHNOLOGY TO LOAD IT?

Because I am tired of breathing in World 1 and being kicked out from how shitty one thing or the other is. If it depends on the computer, I'm getting a new one ASAP.

Isn't World 1 the equivalent of World 2? There's a crappatonne of people everywhere; expect nothing but lag.

Naturally to play RuneScape, you need both. You can improve performance by disabling Hardware Acceleration in the Display option of your Control Panel, though. Aside from that use browsers that are low-intensive on memory such as Google Chrome or even use Jagex's own client you can download from their site. As it's basically just a form linking directly to RS.com there's no other tools you have to worry about hogging up any CPU.

Aside from server-side lag, which you'll find in densely populated areas you can take steps to better performance. Dependant on how fucked up your computer is you could always clear RS's cache and let it rebuild over time. You'd experience more lag in the short run to begin with but then it should smooth out later.

Lowest ping is 95 or 96. I go there, and get lagged out.

I use the client for the desktop. Still lagging out.

I really think it's my computer. :\

If you think it's your computer then lower the display settings in RS itself. It doesn't make that much of a difference though; I noticed a 5% CPU drop between the highest and lowest settings available.

I already play on the lowest possible settings, on the lowest ping world, on a not so populated world, with the client, and still lag out occasionally
